36. How often and where are meetings held?
The frequency of meetings varies from one Lodge
to another. In America, most Lodges meet once a month. Some meet more often for special
work, practice, or study. The meetings are held in a Lodge room or Temple, the
latter term being used in allusion to the Temple of King Solomon, the building of which is
a principal symbol in Freemasonry. Because most American Co-Masonic Lodges are small in
membership, it is usual for them to rent meeting space and set up the space
for a meeting.
